Starting this process requires an active and verified BitMEX account.

1. Sign in to BitMEX and go to the API section under 'Account'.

2. Press 'Create API Key'.

3. Assign a name to your API key and set the permissions to 'Order' for trading purposes.

4. Complete the creation process by verifying through 2FA.

5. Be sure to store your API Key and Secret in a safe place.

Chad Tip: As a security measure, do not enable withdrawal permissions when you create your API key secret. Remember - the blackswan team have no access to your API keys. If you lose them, we cannot help you recover them and you are required to delete and create a new one if this happens.
